Coding Training
AnnieCannons trains survivors of human trafficking to become professional software engineers through a supportive, project-based curriculum grounded in evidence-based learning design that develops skills through application.
Foundations
Students begin with two core courses — Tech Career Foundations and Introduction to Programming — where they learn essential digital literacy, web development fundamentals, and professional skills. Early modules focus on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and version control, while also exploring diverse career paths in technology and building job-ready resumes and portfolios.
Advanced Training
After mastering the fundamentals, students advance into specialized tracks such as Advanced Frontend and Advanced Backend Development. In these modules, participants gain hands-on experience with technologies like React, Node.js, Express, and SQL, developing full-stack applications that mirror real-world projects. Each advanced module includes over 100 hours of applied learning through live client projects and collaborative coding environments.
