- Analyze and compare human vs. AI-generated solutions for quality and safety
- Apply responsible disclosure and documentation practices
- Integrate AI efficiency tools into agile and collaborative environments
Outcome: Students gain the ability to use AI confidently and responsibly in real-world development settings. They become more thoughtful engineers who lead with integrity.
Phase 3: Innovation Third
Students become AI creators, building ethical prototypes and understanding the inner mechanics of AI systems for social good.
Students learn to:
- Understand model architecture and data training fundamentals
- Apply ethical design principles to AI development
- Explore bias detection, explainability, and transparency tools
- Build prototypes that use AI for social good, such as bias-aware matching algorithms or resource-recommendation systems
